Volunteer

Volunteers help to run many aspects of the Autism Resource Center (The Center) with skill, enthusiasm, dedication, patience and good humor.  In return, you will be rewarded with fulfillment, interesting colleagues, new friends, a stimulating environment, and the opportunity to learn a great deal.

Autism Resource Center Volunteer Program Goals:

  • Provide a hands-on opportunity for family members, educators and concerned citizens to become involved in the dissemination of resources to improve the quality of life for individuals with Autism in the northern Westchester/Putnam/Dutchess region.
  • Support public education and awareness efforts on how we all may be better informed and working to find the cause and cure for ASDs;
  • Increase community participation in providing advocacy and programming for children and adults with developmental disabilities in our community.

The Center welcomes volunteers to help in the library, work on fundraising events, assist with administrative tasks and maintain the Web site.  Additionally, we welcome speakers at special events, workshops and seminars that take place at the Center and in the community.

To volunteer, please contact Rand Otten, PARC’s Director of Development, at 845-278-7272.
